UP TO THE YEAR OF 2025 I HAVE RELEASED SEVEN FULL LENGTH ALBUMS IN SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS.
NOT TO MENTION SEVERAL BEFORE THAT…
That has been quite a lot of writing, recording most of the instruments, creating the CD and Album Cover Graphics for the majority of my releases, along with filming and editing all my videos associated with the releases. Now… I think it's time I took a much deserved break! I'll be back to writing and recording at some point when the proverbial “BURNT OUT ” factor is gone (it's better to burn out than to fade away) but until then please check out my past and current releases and thanks for all your support throughout the years and up to this point, 40 years to be exact of releasing original music since the Summer of 1985 with the first “Hard Knox” 80s Hair Band release “Mark of the Rocker”, to the Summer of 2025 with my solo Album “Living in Rewind”. And a few Remastered CDs later that year.

2025 happenings...

THE NEW 14 - track ALBUM "RETROSPECT" (2025 REMIX AND REMASTER) is out and available now!
Gene Hadley's 14-Track Release “Retrospect" was a collection of songs that had been residing on cassette work tapes in a suitcase and carried around the countryside for over 30 years, full of bits and pieces of song ideas that never saw the light of day. That is, until Hadley decided to buy a cassette player (yes in 2014 they had them at Best Buy) and go back through the tapes to see if there were any ideas that were worth recording. Most of the songs were found not finished, with some being completely written, although had never been dusted off and taken to the studio. After Gene and Chad went through the collection, they decided on some that they liked and began tracking them on their home recording setups. However, the original recording was not up to par on the production quality they had hoped for, but still was released in 2015. So now, 10 years later, this latest "2025 Remaster" has brought the quality up to a reasonable level that they can both finally live with. There are also a few new tracks that were written in that 2014-15 period for this album as well. In 2025, new instrument tracks were recorded by both Gene and Chad, along with extra vocal tracks by Gene, and the entire album has been Re-Mixed and Re-Mastered. And on that note, these songs are a giant departure from the normal Gene Hadley heavy rock sound with a lot of the tracks more on the slow and laid back side, but still have melodic hooks and memorable lyrics, and in the canon of my overall work throughout the years, these have always been some of my favorite songs, especially the lyrics, and I'm glad they finally got to see the light of day, and now, they are definitely better, sound production wise...finally."
